Bedrooms
No stereotypical Manhattan shoeboxes in sight: Large windows, a rarity in the city, invite plenty of natural light. An extra bonus are the wide windowsills, perfect for a beloved potted plant (or two!). Pocket lights on the ceiling ensure you’ll have great lighting even on cloudy days. And if you're someone who works from home or enjoys a quiet study space, you'll appreciate the sizeable desks that are featured in each bedroom.
The Living Room
As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cheerful and contemporary living room thoughtfully crafted by our talented team of interior designers. The space seamlessly blends style and functionality, creating a cozy and colorful ambiance perfect for relaxing or entertaining guests. Whether you're looking to catch up on your favorite TV show or with your roommates, the living room is the ideal spot to do it all in comfort and style.
The Kitchen
Your new kitchen awaits you; fully stocked with all the equipment you’ll need to begin cooking, baking, or eating. Contemporary flooring and backsplashes provide a bright backdrop for your culinary endeavors--and, on a completely unrelated note, a kitchen window ensures a little fresh air flow whenever necessary as an added bonus.
The Bathrooms
A renovated bathroom with a fresh, clean look will meet all your needs. The window allows natural light, which is an added bonus for those who apply makeup!
The Neighborhood
Harlem is synonymous with the Harlem Renaissance, an artistic, literary, and cultural movement of African Americans that began in the 1920’s and has established Harlem as a capital of black culture throughout the world. This neighborhood retains its historic legacy through important institutions such as the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and the Studio Museum, all within close walking distance to the Lenox House. Harlem retains its strong sense of community and prides itself on its ethnic and cultural diversity.
The Lenox House is a 5-minute walk to Marcus Garvey Park, which has public pool and concerts. Community gardens abound thanks to the non-profit Harlem Grows, and also in bloom during summer months are free theater, dance, and jazz performances, the latter of which we’re particularly jazzed about. (Wait, come back! I’m sorry!) It’s also a 20-minute walk to Central Park North or 10-minute commute by train. French, West African, Italian, American, Carribean, and Soul food options flourish, along with many cafes and bars. At the Lenox House, you’ll be proud to call Harlem your new home.
